We owe a lot to our mother Earth for the sustenance and survival. Protection of environment is very important for the life to continue on this planet and the responsibility to protect the environment, save trees and not engage in practices that harm our environment lies with all of us- Government agencies and the people both.
With a firm belief in the principle of shared responsibility, the Organisation organised an exposure tour of children to the Taru Mitra premises in Digha on.................... Children took a guided tour of the campus spread in large acres and got orientation on various species of trees, plants and birds which had made Taru Mitra their home. Taru Mitra is an organisation in Patna which promotes plantation of trees and works towards conservation of endangered indigenous seeds and plants.
In addition to the exposure visit, the organisation also conducted special drives for raising public awareness about the importance of tree plantation and harmful effects of using polythene bags. On Environment Day (June 5, 2015), the organisation organised interactive sessions on telling children about simple steps that could help us protect our environment.
